Our History
We have years of experience caring for families from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service with the highest integrity.
Over 100 years ago the Heflebower family settled in the Arkansas Valley of Colorado. In 2013, the family opened their own family funeral and cremation service in the south Denver metro. Serving their friends and neighbors like family was the purpose behind their company. Though the Heflebower family stepped aside in 2024, the legacy continues. Serving like family is stronger now more than ever.

Amy May
From a young age, Amy felt called to funeral service after the unexpected loss of her grandmother—an experience that deeply shaped her sense of purpose. Though her career began in the insurance industry, that early calling never faded. Eventually, she followed her heart and began working in the front office of a large mortuary, soon transitioning into the role of funeral director.
With over a decade of experience in the funeral profession, Amy now serves families with care and compassion at Heflebower Funeral Services, where she has been a dedicated team member for over a year. She considers it a true honor to support families during their most difficult moments and believes it’s a gift to walk with them through their grief.
Outside of her work, you can find Amy with her husband and their two very spoiled dogs. She also loves traveling, spending time with family, reading, and performing in a local band alongside her siblings.
