Timothy Lane Gaylord joined his Lord and Savior in Heaven on July 5th, 2023, at 66 years old, in Aurora, CO. Tim was born January 18th, 1957, in Buffalo, NY, and raised in Overland Park, KS. Tim is survived by his wife, Betty, and children Tracy, Tyler, Thomas John (TJ) & Emily, Jessica & Paul, Lisa, Rheanna & Lee, Cassidy & Danny, Crystal & Andrew, Chelsea & Robert, 25 grandchildren, and brother Joel Jr.

He served in the United States Army from 1974-1976. He returned home and began to build his family and start his career. Tim spent 45 years working in the automotive industry. He founded Gaylord Sales & Leasing in 1990. His work went beyond selling cars. He saw his job as a ministry, an opportunity to share the gospel.

Tim was a pillar in the auto industry through Colorado and the National Independent Automotive Dealers Association (NIADA). This was highlighted when he was recognized for his professional achievements as a NIADA Quality Dealer of the Year Finalist in 2021.

He was an active member of Southeast Christian Church in Parker, Colorado and served many charitable organizations. This includes serving on the State Board of Directors for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) for eight years. He was an athlete of many talents and loved to coach his kids’ and grandkids’ sports teams. Competing in the Los Angeles Triathlon highlighted his athletic achievement as a triathlete. As a passionate and dedicated golfer, Tim spent many hours on the course building friendships and lowering his handicap. For his 50th birthday Tim took a “trip of a lifetime” and played Pebble Beach with some of his closest friends.

His proudest charitable achievement was becoming a Chairman of the Board and President of the board of Directors for The Treasure House of Hope. An organization that offers a one-year Christ-centered discipleship program to individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, hopelessness, victims of domestic violence or human trafficking, and desperate to change. To continue Tim’s work and legacy, his family asks that, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Treasure House of Hope (www.treasurehouseofhope.com/donate).

Tim's Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 20th at 11:00am at Southeast Christian Church, 9650 Jordan Road, Parker, CO 80134. The family will begin to greet guests at 10:00am at the church that morning.
