Ryder Nicholas Rebholz, 27, was the victim of a tragic traffic accident that took his life on May 31, 2025. He was born in Denver on August 28, 1997 to Tia and Bob Rebholz. He spent two years at Colorado Academy in Denver for high school, and then transferred to and graduated from ThunderRidge High School in Highlands Ranch in 2015. He attended Colorado State University and Metropolitan State College of Denver, and recently completed a specialized certificate program in Cybersecurity, excited to explore a new career in that growing field. He worked as a General Manager at Chop Shop Urban Eatery in Englewood.
Ryder had an infectious laugh and broad, welcoming smile. His warmth attracted people to him and he was loved by all who met him. He was an incredibly loyal friend. Music was a huge part of his life. Ryder started playing piano at the age of three, leading to a life-long passion for music. Some of his favorite pastimes included creating songs, and attending concerts with friends, his sister, brother-in-law and nephew. Ryder’s enjoyment of the Colorado mountains and outdoors included skateboarding—lots of skateboarding—hiking, and rock climbing. He was fascinated by exotic cars. And Ryder will also be remembered for his tender heart toward animals, particularly rabbits and cats.
Ryder was greatly loved and is survived by his parents Tia and Bob; his sister, Brittany Damron, brother-in-law, John Paul “JP” Damron, and nephew, Rilan Williams; his uncle, Gino Graziano (Robert); his aunt and uncle, Debra and Richard “Dick” Strassburger; his uncle and aunt, Andy and Janet Rebholz; his uncle and aunt, Joe and Denise Rebholz; along with cousins Stacy (Andy) and children; Daniel (Steve); Andy “AJ” (Rachel) and children; Kristin (PJ) and child; Brittany (Alan); and Max (Raeleah).
Ryder was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Elaine Rebholz, grandfather Joseph “Ted” Rebholz, grandmother Jehre Holtzclaw, and grandfather Earl “Rocky” Graziano.
To honor Ryder, who fiercely loved and cared for his many precious friends, please consider in lieu of flowers, donating some time to help a friend in need. A donation to the Rocky Mountain House Rabbit Rescue in the name of our tender-hearted rabbit lover—or to your favorite local charity—would also be a wonderful and appreciated gesture.
Tia and Bob and family will be holding a Celebration of Life gathering at Church Ranch Event Center in Westminster, CO on June 21st from 10am-2pm, where all who’d like to remember Ryder and share memories, tears, laughter and hugs are warmly invited to join us.
