Ronald Langan, age 84, entered eternal life peacefully on Wednesday, December 20th,2023 at Porter Memorial Hospital in Denver, after a long illness. He was born July 18th,1939 in Denver to Robert and Lucille Langan.
Ron was a lifelong native of South Denver. He was a 1957 graduate of South High School, in Denver, CO. He married Roberta Lee Henning on November 11th, 1961. He worked in the title insurance business for 19 years and was a member of the US Air National Guard for 6 years, from 1961-1967.
Ron started a small carpet cleaning business with his brother Richard Langan in 1973. Foresight South is still in business today and is being run by his son Brian.
Ron’s favorite past times include playing golf, camping, fishing, and gambling in Black Hawk, as well as spending time with his family. One of the most important relationships he forged was with God. Ron was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, and he enjoyed being an active volunteer on many projects and committees. Ron also enjoyed going on cruises to Mexico and Alaska with family and friends throughout the years, and enjoyed exploring the state of Colorado with many camping and fishing trips. One of the memorable trips Ron took with family was to Hawaii, where he learned the valuable need for SPF 50 sunscreen!
Ron loved gathering together with friends and family for any event or occasion to spread laughter and enjoyment. He also loved talking and laughing with his carpet cleaning customers through the years. He was a great fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies, and when he could not be at the games, he enjoyed watching them on TV.
Ron also lived in the same zip code, 80210, in a 3 block radius, for all his 84 years.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Jo McGill, and two brothers, Richard and Robert Langan. Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Roberta, son Brian, (Carolyn) and granddaughter Samantha Joanne, as well as many nieces and nephews and his great grand puppy Maybel.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that you express your love to those you value and hold dear and perform a random act of kindness towards a stranger. Please do this in Ron’s name, as being good-hearted and loving, we know this would be his wish, as well as remembering the family in prayer.
Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes, 2298 S. Logan ST, Denver, CO 80210, on Friday January 12th, with a rosary at 9:30am, and funeral mass at 10am.
