In Loving Memory of Michael McCabe

September 24, 1946 – October 6, 2026

Michael McCabe passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.

Born on September 24, 1946, Michael lived a life defined by strength, curiosity, independence, and remarkable resilience. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, carrying with him a spirit of determination that remained with him throughout his life.

A man of many talents and crafts, Michael enjoyed working with his hands, exploring new interests, and sharing his knowledge with others. An avid reader and collector of books, he loved passing along the stories, wisdom, and lessons he gathered along the way. Whether offering advice, sharing something he had learned, or telling a good joke, Michael always had something to contribute to a conversation.

Michael had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making others laugh. He was also a survivor in every sense of the word. Throughout his life, he faced more than his share of close calls, yet somehow always found the strength to pull through. This is a reflection of the resilience and determination.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Charlene (Ted) Lucero; his grandson, Antonio (Kennedy) Lucero; his brothers and sisters; and extended family and loved ones.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of laughter, strength, wisdom, and love. Though his remarkable journey has come to an end, the stories he told, the lessons he shared, and the laughter he brought into the lives of others will live stream. 

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, November 11, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6705 S Webster St, Littleton, CO 80128.
