Michael Folger

Michael Luther Folger, age 67, of Highlands Ranch, CO, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026 with his children and family by his side. He was born on May 5,1958 in Ohio. He grew up in Hyde Park (Cincinnati) and attended both University of Cincinnati and Xavier University. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn for 35 years. Loving Father of Zach (Katie) Folger, Samantha (Andrew) Gunter. Survived by his loving siblings Ted (Valerie) Folger, Jeremy Folger, Sarah Folger, and loved by so many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his and Mother Rita “Jo” Folger and Father Alonzo “Trez” Folger III and brother Barney Folger.

He served five years in the US Navy, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion SEVEN (NMCB 7) Seabees. He trained as an electrician in the Navy and worked for most of his career as an Electrician and Maintenance Supervisor. Mike had a rare gift for understanding how things worked, and an even rarer patience for fixing them. If something was broken, he could always make it right. He was a compassionate boss, inspiring mentor, and committed team member. He made a positive impact on so many people throughout his career.

Mike’s greatest love and proudest role was caring for his family (and pets). He always supported his wife Carolyn’s dreams no matter how ‘crazy’ her latest projects were. His love for his children knew no limits- there was nothing he wouldn’t do and no moment he wouldn’t show up for. Animals held a special place in his heart; even the most reserved creatures trusted him without hesitation, drawn to the quiet calm he carried.

He inspired a sense of adventure, loyalty, and compassion in his family that they will forever appreciate.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel, 407 Jerry Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104. The celebration will be on Saturday, February 14th at 11:00 AM with a reception and lunch to follow. All are welcome.

There will also be a Celebration of Life to be held in Cincinnati, Ohio at Spring Grove Cemetery on Saturday, February 28th at 11:00 AM.
