Marilynn C. Trainor, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado at the age of 83.
Born on May 10, 1942, in Chicago, IL. Marilynn lived a life marked by grace, resilience, and deep compassion. She was known for her unwavering kindness, her quiet strength, and the way she made everyone feel at home in her presence. Whether through her warm smile, her thoughtful words, or her goofy humor, Marilynn touched countless lives.
She devoted herself to her family, raising her children with love and forgiveness, and later delighting in the joys of being a grandmother and great grandmother. Marilynn was a dedicated teacher of sciences for many years. She was committed to the education and betterment of young people’s lives and often volunteered for organizations that benefited the youth in her community. Her legacy is one of compassion, faith, and unconditional love.
Marilynn is survived by her children, Mary Trainor-Drye, Chris Sugo, Kurt Trainor, and Susan Trainor. She loved and was extremely proud of her 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Patrick Trainor and son in law, Louis Sugo. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of Marilynn’s life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11am at Windcrest Senior Living in Highlands Ranch, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kind and nurturing soul.
