Margaret "Peggy" Owens

Margaret “Peggy” Owens passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She was born October 18, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to William and Lydia (Seaver) Weinreich. 

Peggy was a 1959 graduate of Mehlville High School. She married Calvin Owens III on October 24, 1964 in St. Louis. Peggy had an immense love for family, friends, and all animals. She loved watching an assortment of birds and other critters enjoy her daily feedings outside. She always had several pets in the home and welcomed strays. Peggy exuded kindness to family, friends, neighbors, and always had a smile and offered to help anytime anyone needed a helping hand or a listening ear. Peggy enjoyed attending church, spending time with family, reading, and chatting on the phone with out-of-town friends and family, as well as visiting them in person often. 

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lydia Weinreich. She is survived by her husband, Calvin; her sister Nancy; her children, Calvin “C.L.” IV; Amy; along with grandchildren, nephews, cousins, grand nieces, and grand nephews.

Peggy‘s family will be holding a celebration of life memorial service at Cherry Hills Community Church in the Chapel on August 14, 2025 at 1:00 pm. For those who are unable to attend, there will be a live stream of the service available.
