Kerry Ann Mann (née Cook), born October 29, 1962, passed away surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life. She was the cherished daughter of Marlene and Larry Cook Sr. and sister to Larry Cook Jr. and Terry Cook.
Kerry is survived by her devoted husband, Jim, and her four children: Nicole (husband Zach Levinson), Alex (husband Trevor Stiles), Cassie (husband Kyle Behringer), and Jimmy Mann. Her greatest joy was being “Nana” to her six grandchildren: Ava, Olivia, Sawyer, Liam, Tommy, and Juliette – each of whom held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind her beloved cats, Bagheera and Lucy.
Kerry lived her life with warmth, a witty sense of humor, and a kindness that was felt by everyone who knew her. She had a rare ability to make people feel like family, and many were proud to call her a best friend, a sister, or a second mom.
A devoted Denver Broncos fan, Kerry never missed a game – her loyalty to her team matched only by the passion she brought to everything she loved. She felt most at peace on the river, fishing beneath the Colorado sky, surrounded by the mountains she called home. Those moments reflected who she was: adventurous, joyful, and connected to the beauty around her.
She was also a woman of strong values and a passionate believer in equal rights for all. Kerry led with compassion and conviction, teaching her children to stand up for others, to lead with empathy, and to believe deeply in fairness and inclusion. Those values are part of the legacy she leaves behind in her family.
Above all else, Kerry was proud to be a mother and wife, but being “Nana” was her most treasured role. Her family was her heart, and she poured everything into creating love, memories, and a sense of belonging that will live on in each of them.
Kerry’s legacy is one of pure love and deep connection to those who were lucky to know her. She will be missed more than words can express, and remembered in every quiet moment, every shared memory, and every sign that reminds those who loved her that she is never far away.
