James A. Hague

James A. Hague, 88, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, joining many in his beloved family and circle of friends who preceded him—most importantly his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann. He was born on June 14, 1937, to Merritt Minard Hague and Leola Reynolds Hague.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Pamela Hague Rouch (Jack) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and his son, Jonathan Barrett Hague (Oxana) of Jupiter, Florida. Lovingly known as “Jimmy,” he is also survived by his grandsons, Nicholas and Evan Rouch; his granddaughters, Dasha and Masha Hague; and his brother, Dr. John Hague.

A native of Indiana, Jim was a 1955 graduate of Bedford High School and later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Maryland. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and went on to a long career in federal service, retiring from the Small Business Administration in 1995.

Jim loved basketball—especially cheering for the Boston Celtics—as well as golf and sailing. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and loyal friend who will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and steady presence in the lives of those who knew him.

In accordance with Jim’s wishes, there will be no funeral or interment service. The family welcomes cards and notes of remembrance ℅ Pamela Rouch, 702 Windmill Place, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Jim’s memory to The V Foundation for Cancer Research at www.jimmyv.org.

Jim’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends who were fortunate to know and love him.
