David was born in Roy, New Mexico on December 24, 1938, to parents Fulgencio (Flo) and Adeline (Martinez) LeDoux. The family later moved to Brighton, Colorado to enjoy life on their farm on Barr Lake.
As a young boy David loved exploring the neighborhood and hanging out with cousins, siblings and friends. He loved playing baseball and boxing. He was proud that he made it into The Golden Gloves. David graduated from Brighton High School in May of 1956.
In June of 1956, David enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and was at Camp Pendelton in San Diego for two years of training. He was Honorably Discharged as a Truck Driver/Vehicle Operator in April of 1958. Shortly after that, he married Veronica Trujillo and they had three children Mike, Vinnie and Michelle. Although they separated in 1989, they were legally married and best friends until death.
David had many jobs in his lifetime, but the most notable ones were Western Fasteners where he became the sales manager. Then he established CATS (Commercial, Anchor, and Tool) with his sister, brother-in-law, and co-worker of Western Fasteners.
After leaving CATS, David and Veronica established American Industrial & Construction in 1988 which became a great family-owned business which is still being run by their children.
In his earlier years, David was a very social man. He loved to bowl, play cards, go boating, take trips to Las Vegas and attend his kids’ sporting events. He was an avid Broncos Fan and season ticket holder since 1960. He was very passionate about baseball and the Colorado Rockies. He was a workaholic most of the time. He had strong political beliefs, loved history, debates, and loved storytelling and telling jokes.
Dave loved hanging out with friends for many years at the Mile Hi Veterans so his children would like to invite you to join us in his celebration of life.
