Dane Nicholas Overdorf, 19, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, passed away on March 31, 2026.
To all that might have been… To all that was.
Dane was born on February 12, 2007 in Littleton, CO and attended Ben Franklin Academy through 8th grade, graduating from ThunderRidge High School in 2025 and was employed by Main Event.
Dane was known for his kindness and genuine concern for others. He was always up for a conversation with anyone and enjoyed being around people. His life centered around his love for music, football, and gaming.
He had a unique sense of style and was comfortable being himself—often seen wearing his colorful Crocs along with a wide variety of necklaces, rings, and hats that reflected his personality.
Dane loved playing games and enjoyed all sports, but football held a special place in his heart from a young age. He played flag football for several years and was involved in multiple fantasy football leagues. He had an incredible memory for stats, could talk in detail about any player, and could tell you which team won nearly every Super Bowl.
Music was another passion that defined Dane. He took both guitar and piano lessons and had recently added the ukulele to his collection. His love of dancing began early, and he never needed a stage to show off his moves—his joy was evident anytime music was playing.
Dane was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. We take comfort knowing he is with Jesus and we will see him again someday.
He is survived by his parents, Kyle and Sherri Overdorf, and his brother Quinn, his grandfather, Bud Coleman of Carmel, Indiana; his aunt Shelli and uncle Jeff Frew and cousins Tori, Conner, and Karlee of Carmel, Indiana; and his aunt Kim and uncle Dennis Kinkead and cousins Jordan and Zachary of Noblesville, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Judy Overdorf, and his maternal grandmother, Betty Coleman.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to BackPack Society or Foodbank of the Rockies.
