Claire Irene Young was born on June 1, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska to William "Mike" Buchta and Helen Paden Buchta.

Claire passed away on June 25, 2026 at the age of 81 in Denver, Colorado where she had lived for over 40 years.

Claire was the fourth child in her family, following R. Kevin, Carol and Susan.

She graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Grade School and graduated from Central High School in Omaha in 1963. Following college, Claire moved to Denver, Colorado where she spent several decades as a legal secretary.

Claire always shared her sweet, happy sense of humor with those around her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kevin and her sister, Carol.

She is survived by her kind and understanding companion of over 40 years, Jim Lomax. She is also survived by her loving sister, Susie; her nieces and nephews, Kelli (Jerry) Bowen, Kevin (Tina) Jensen, Chris (Cara) Jensen, Andrew (Kim) Jensen, Jennifer (Dan) Taute, Debbie (Mike) Marcil, Patrick (Jenny) Dugan, Matthew (Jackie) Dugan, many great nieces, nephews and friends. 

Kelli Bowen and Ali Bowen and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends.

A beautiful soul is never forgotten.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 10am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 11802 Pacific Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68154. Luncheon to follow.
