Carol Orla Krieser passed away on July 17th at the age of 88 in Greenwood Village, CO, after suffering a massive stroke. 

Born in Ft. Collins, Colorado on December 12, 1937, to William and Lillah Neely, and raised by her mother and stepfather Jack Cromer, Carol graduated from Fort Collins High School, and then from Colorado State University, with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. A modern, independent, "career" woman from the start, Carol went to work for United Airlines in Chicago, IL before transferring back to Denver, CO, and made great use of her free flight benefits to travel the world with friends and family. 

In addition to collecting memorabilia on her travels, Carol loved cats and doted on them both at home and on every excursion. In 1982, Carol married her United Airlines coworker Ralph Krieser, and the two of them continued to travel through their retirement together, frequently staying at one of their many, many timeshares in Hawaii, Florida, and Mexico. 

Carol is survived by her sister, Maryanne Zimmerman, her stepbrother, Jackie Cromer, and her nieces and nephew, Sherri (Michael), Joyann (Michael), and David (Bekki), as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and her nephew, Michael "Mickey" (Charlene). 

Carol's fiercely independent, generous, and strong spirit will be greatly missed by family and friends across the United States. At her request, Carol's cremains will be placed at Fort Logan, alongside Ralph's, and a private ceremony will be held with immediate family.
