It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carissa Ruth (Hofmann) Mollendor, 47, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, who entered eternal life on October 5, 2026.

Carissa was a devoted Christian whose faith was the foundation of her life and reflected in the way she loved, served, and cared for others. A beautiful soul with a generous heart, she was known for her unwavering faith, deep compassion, steadfast devotion to family, and selfless commitment to helping those around her.

Above all else, Carissa cherished her family. She is survived by her loving husband of more than 22 years, Jason Robert Mollendor, and their three beloved children, Jameson Robert Mollendor, Nicholas Ryan Mollendor, and Kaitlyn Grace Mollendor. She is also survived by her parents, Robert and Mallory Hofmann; her brothers, Paul “Wesley” Hofmann and Robert John “Patrick” Hofmann; and her sister, Rachel Chevonne (Hofmann) Halladay.

Carissa was a proud graduate of Front Range Community College and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Throughout her distinguished nursing career, she served in a variety of roles, including emergency room nursing, post-surgical care, home healthcare, and nursing leadership as a Director of Nursing. Her exceptional dedication and compassionate care earned her numerous professional honors and the gratitude of countless patients and families. With her gentle spirit and caring nature, Carissa brought comfort, reassurance, and dignity to those facing some of life’s most difficult moments.

Beyond her calling as a nurse, Carissa was a gifted baker, creative event planner, and successful small-business owner who operated her own baking business for several years. She had a remarkable talent for making life’s celebrations memorable, bringing beauty, warmth, and thoughtful touches to every holiday and gathering. For Carissa, these occasions were more than celebrations; they were opportunities to bring people together and show them how deeply they were loved.

Carissa’s life was a testament to faith, love, generosity, and service. Her legacy lives on in the family she treasured, the lives she touched, and the countless acts of kindness that defined her time on earth. While her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, her memory will remain a lasting source of comfort and inspiration.

Carissa will be laid to rest at Seven Stones Cemetery in a private gathering of family and close friends.

She will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and profoundly missed.
