of Denver, CO died Thursday, September 21, 2017. Bernie was born September 12, 1959 in Syracuse, NY to B.J. (Bernie) and Dolores Martin. He graduated in 1977 from Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City, in 1981 from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and earned his MBA from the University of Denver. Bernie began his professional career in petroleum land management with Conoco Oil in 1981 before transitioning to commercial real estate where his career spanned tenant representation, brokerage, development, and portfolio management. He started his real estate career with Corporate Planners & Coordinators, Inc. (CPC, Inc.), a company he subsequently acquired as a co-owner before eventually acquiring sole ownership. Bernie was a well known and loved resident of the Cherry Creek North/Country Club neighborhood. He is preceded in death by his father, Bernie J. Martin, and sister B. Lynn Martin and survived by his wife Dianna Barrett (Denver, CO), mother Dolores Martin (Oklahoma City), sister Janet Martin (Oklahoma City), sister Caroline Quinn (husband Brent, Tulsa, OK), brother Scott Martin (Newport Beach, CA), and nephews Braden and Kyle Quinn (Tulsa, OK). In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the University of Colorado Cancer Center.


Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 PM - Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Denver Botanic Gardens - Gates Garden Hall and Court.
Parking and admission are free. Guests are invited to arrive early and stroll the grounds.
