Teresa Jean Audel

Teresa Jean Audel, age 75, passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, September 27, 2015 in Denver, Colorado, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her daughters.
Born in 1940 in North Platte, Nebraska to Geraldine Lucille Adle and Lawrence Stephen Halstead. Teresa was raised by her mother and step-father, Scott Ramsey in Okanogan, Washington. She attended Okanogan High School where she excelled in many sports and participated in a variety of clubs.
Teresa enjoyed travel and lived in many places including Santa Maria, California; Las Vegas, Santa Fe and Los Alamos, New Mexico; Friendswood, Texas; Wenatchee, Washington; and Denver, Colorado. She was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church.
She loved music, dancing, movies and gardening. She was an avid follower of current events and politics, and a champion for women’s rights. While living in New Mexico she worked for the Las Vegas City Schools Administration, and later attended college, focusing on women’s studies and business. She was a strong woman who courageously lived with the many challenges of multiple sclerosis. She had a pioneering and independent spirit which led her to participate in many medical studies and clinical trials while she lived in Texas.
Teresa was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, and her husband, Paul Hazen Audel. She is survived by her daughters Pamela Calloway (Leon Sr.) of Harker Heights, Texas, Cynthia Parsa (Morteza) of Sugar Land, Texas, Brenda Oliveira (Luis) of Houston, Texas, and Maria Rojas (Art) of Commerce City, Colorado; eleven grandchildren: Leon Calloway Jr., Lauren Calloway, Lucas Calloway, Lane Calloway, Natasha Gonzales, Adam Parsa (Mariam), Nicolle Parsa, Elena Oliveira, Brian Oliveira, Mona Rojas and Emma Rojas; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, David Ramsey (Barbara) of Cottage Grove Oregon; niece, Lana Ramsey, and nephews David Ramsey Jr. and Jeffrey Ramsey.
