Megan E. Haarberg

July 8, 1994 — June 19, 2019

Megan Elizabeth Haarberg, age 24, has left us to ride and sing in Heaven. Megan was born on July 8, 1994, in Denver Colorado, and passed away nearly 25 years later, on June 19, 2019. She was born to Kim R. Haarberg and Laurie (McIntosh) Haarberg and will be loved and remembered forever.
Although her life on earth was cut way too short, she managed to fit in more excitement and touch more lives than most could ever imagine. Whatever she did, she did with a great deal of passion… whether it was riding her horse, or riding her dirt bike, or singing and playing her guitar, she went at it full speed.
She grew up in Ken Caryl and went on to graduate high school as a Mullen Mustang. She attended UNC in Greeley, CO and UVI (University of Virgin Islands) in St. Thomas. She loved her many travels to Haiti where she volunteered in order to help the Haitian children improve their lives through education. She was devoted to sharing her music with her Haitian students whom she loved. Most recently she was a valued team member at The Colorado Saddlery Co. working in her beloved horse world.
More important to her than anything were her friends. Megan truly loved people and made such an impact on so many lives, whether old or young or anywhere in between, with her music and her quick wit and charm. She had a special gift to sit down on the spot and create a song recapping an entire weekend of activities. She will truly be missed by everyone that she met and remembered in so many hearts.
Megan is survived by her parents Kim and Laurie Haarberg, her older brother Jake Haarberg, Uncle Kevin and Aunt Lorie Haarberg and their granddaughter Kayla Balchitis of Woodland, CA; Uncle Brian and Aunt Kendra Bunkers of Columbus, NE; cousins Katie Beller of Leigh, NE and Kyle Bunkers of Madison, WI; and grandparents John and Marion McIntosh of Brigham City, UT. She was preceded in death by her loving paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Luella Haarberg of Mission Hill, SD.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Abiding Hope Church, 6337 S. Robb Way, Littleton, CO 80127 on her 25th birthday, July 8, at 11:00 AM followed by a reception in the gym. Megan’s final resting place will be at Seven Stones Memorial Garden in Littleton, CO.
