Lindsey Jo Alexandra Minikus, JoJo to anyone lucky enough to know her, age 26, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, passed away on Saturday March 19, 2016 at Swedish Hospital with her family by her side. This is not the story of her death, but the story of her life, which was full of love and family.
JoJo was born in Cedar Falls, Iowa and grew up there until her family moved to Highlands Ranch, Colorado when she was seven years old. She attended Mountain Vista High School. JoJo was a friend to anyone that she met, and to know her and not be touched by her light and infectious smile was impossible.
Her self-proclaimed greatest accomplishment was being a mother to Lilah. Lilah was her best friend, her light, and the love of her life. JoJo once said that her goal as a mother was to be half the mother to Lilah that her mom was to her.
JoJo is survived by her mother Lori Minikus-Randall (Doug Beifuss) and Alan Edwards (deceased), and stepdaughter to Loren Randall (Diana Randall) . Jojo was a sister to Blake, Lexi, Braeden, half-sister to Stephanie and Alan Travis (deceased) and step-sister to Noahe, Corey, Justin and Crystal .
Jojo came from a very large extended family, and despite the miles or the time apart, the moments together are cherished. JoJo was always her best self when she was with Lilah.
Through her daughter’s eyes and all who loved her, she will never be forgotten.
