Corey A. Squires

Corey Ann Squires, 39, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at her home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She was born January 22, 1982, in Denver, Colorado to Marie Hruby (Travan) and Steve Squires. Corey was the oldest of three siblings. She adored both her brother and sister and prided herself on being the eldest.

Corey graduated from Bear Creek High School in 2000 with a love for tennis and tanning. In high school she made many friends. Her kind and sweet personality captured the hearts of many. She continued her education at Colorado State University and graduated in 2004 with Bachelor’s in Communication and Journalism. Corey went on to accept Marketing jobs that took her out of state to Chicago for a brief time before returning home.

Corey transitioned into the medical field where she had a varied career in both the Dental and Medical disciplines. She thrived in any role where her outgoing personality could make a difference in someone else’s day.

Corey had a true passion for fitness and prided herself on staying active and physically fit. She’d beam after being number 1 in “Splat Points” after her morning workout.

She met the love of her life September 17th, 2011. She didn’t realize it at first, but it didn’t take long for her and Bruce to become inseparable. They shared a special bond when it was just the two of them doing ordinary, boring stuff. Being together is what made it special.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Barbara Centamore and Colleen Murray, her grandfather Thomas Murray, and her uncle, Steve Travan. She is survived by her fiancé, Bruce, her mother, Marie and stepfather, Stan, her father, Steve and stepmother, Chrissy, her sister, Cara, her nephew Levi, her brother Tanner, her stepsister, Amanda, her niece Jenavive, her stepbrother, Clayton Herrman and Bruce’s 7 siblings and father, many aunts, uncles and cousins and many, many friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at Mountain View Christian Church on July 9th at 9:00AM with a reception to follow. Please come by and share in tears, laughs, memories and reminiscing.
