Steven Curt Elsen, born on July 18, 1965, 49, went to be with the Lord on July 21,2014. Steve is survived by his wife Julie Thomas Elsen, sons Nathan, Aaron, anddaughter Ella Grace; his parents Shirley and Fred Elsen; his sisters Jeannie Solheimand husband John, and Sandra Arbuckle and husband Max; his brother Michaeland wife Michelle; his extended family, Robert and Heidi Thomas, Jeff and AmyThomas, and numerous nieces and nephews.Steve was born in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Alameda High Schoolin 1983. He attended Colorado State University, majoring in Business Economicsand graduated from there in 1987.He married Julie on September 16th, , 1995. They were blessed with threeincredible children.Steve had a passion for sports and loved coaching his boys, and he never turneddown an opportunity to go to a car show. He loved his “daddy time” with hisprincess Ella Grace, and was even caught on occasion painting nails.He enjoyed sharing his wealth of knowledge in wines and spirits with his manyfriends and loved ones, and he relished his time with his Bible Study group,friends and neighbors. His humor and warmth brought joy to those around him.He never knew a stranger, and he had a gift for making everyone feel importantand at ease. Children flocked to him, and he loved having the opportunity toserve children on a mission trip to Uganda, as well as serving as a Sunday Schoolteacher for many years.We are thankful that Steve knew his Lord and Savior and that we will all betogether again one day in Eternity.Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM - Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Cherry Hills Community Church Chapel, 3900 Grace Blvd. Highlands Ranch.
